The Quinta do Cume wines are born on the slopes of the ancient land of Provezende, a historic village on the right bank of the Douro River in the heart of the Douro wine region. A demarcated region, classified by UNESCO as World Heritage.
The land of Provezende brings together all the features of a great wine: The rugged terrain, shist soil, proximity of water, sun exposure and ideal altitude. Add to all that a terroir that gives unique oenological propertis, and you can produce high-quality wines.
Winemaker Jean-Hugues Gros, trained in one of the most reputed schools in the Burgundy region of France, chose the Douro in 1999 to further develop this professional acitvity.
The Quinta do Cume winery uses all the latest techniques. Their motto is "Producing Wine with Passion."
